About Shai Vardi

Shai Vardi is an Assistant Professor of Management at Purdue University. Before joining Purdue, he was a Linde Postdoctoral Fellow at the Social and Information Sciences Laboratory (SISL) at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tel Aviv in 2015, where he was mentored by Professor Yishay Mansour.

Professor Vardi’s research is diverse and impactful, focusing on areas such as mechanism design, fairness, online platforms, dynamic allocation and analytical creativity. His work in these fields addresses critical challenges and contributes to advancing both theoretical and practical aspects of management, operations and information systems.
